MICHAEL MCMAHON

INTERACTIVE MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUR PRIVATE OR CORPORATE ENTERTAINMENT NEEDS.

(313) 355-DUEL (313) 355-3835

Armed with quite possibly the strongest voice on the “dueling pianos” circuit, combined with the gift of gab that only an Irishman could be blessed with, Michael has been lighting up venues from Boston to Broken Bow with his unique style of music and humor. His standout interactive performances, featuring dazzling displays of piano pyrotechnics and unmatched vocal virtuosity, have set audiences throughout the country on fire!

Equally at home performing in ensembles or as a soloist, Michael has headlined at the prestigious MGM Grand Detroit Casino, has been featured with the Detroit Symphony, Wayne State University’s Men’s Glee Club and the Wayne State Concert Chorale. His rock-n-roll dueling pianos performance at the Detroit Opera House drew rave reviews (and by the end of the night even the opera singers joined in to sing along!)

Michael's television and radio credits include performances on BBC Radio and Television, singing the national anthem for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day game and doing background vocal work for the television show "Xena: Warrior Princess.” Michael served a number of seasons as the music director of the DTE Energy/Detroit Edison Glee Club, and has directed both public school choirs and orchestras.

Before dueling pianos, Michael worked for many years as an elementary school music teacher and was a founding member of the house band at The Old Shillelagh, downtown Detroit’s landmark Irish Pub. In addition to performing, Michael accepts a limited number of private students for Voice, Piano and Violin.
